Legal policies
Cookie policy
Last updated: 8 October 2026.
This policy explains cookies and similar technologies used in connection with the Dual Wave Digital website. You do not need an account to browse the site or send an enquiry.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. They can support sign-in, remember preferences or measure activity. Similar rules can apply to other technologies that store or access information on your device.
2. WordPress sign-in and administration
WordPress uses cookies to recognise authorised users and protect signed-in sessions. It also stores administration preferences. These cookies relate to accessing and managing the site; they are not advertising cookies. They apply when authorised administrators use the WordPress sign-in and administration area.
3. WordPress cookie families
The cookie families below contain variable suffixes for the site or user. The durations describe standard WordPress behaviour; the actual expiry depends on sign-in choices and configuration. Logging out ends the authenticated session.
These entries describe WordPress administration cookies; browsing our public pages does not require you to sign in. See WordPress’s explanation of its cookies.
4. Optional technologies and your choices
Analytics, advertising and optional third-party tools are separate from the sign-in functions above. Before adding them, we will identify their purpose, provider and duration, update this policy and provide any consent choices required for their use.
You can inspect, block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking sign-in cookies may prevent administrators from signing in. There is currently no on-page cookie-preference control for the WordPress administration cookies described above.
5. Links and third-party services
Following an external link takes you to another organisation’s website, which has its own privacy and cookie information. Any future embedded tools must be assessed separately before they are enabled.
6. Keeping this policy up to date
We review this information when the website’s tools or configuration change, Cookie durations and technologies should be checked again whenever tracking, booking tools, embedded media or new plugins are introduced.
